We wish to thank you for your interest in The LakeRidge Charitable Foundation a 501©3 charity. Our goal is to identify local worthwhile charities with gaps in funding. Bringing awareness to those needs and creating opportunities for local citizens to get involved in providing assistance is our mission.
Each year we host a golf tournament as a fundraiser. We use the tournament to create awareness of the local charities, raise money and provide local residents the opportunity to perform a service to the larger surrounding community. We are currently in our fourteenth year of operation. In that time, we have raised and donated almost $250,000 to local worthy charities. Last year almost felt like starting all over again after taking 2020 off due to the pandemic. We have many charities that have come to rely upon our efforts to help fund their operations. We need the support and involvement of sponsors like you to get us back up and running and headed in the right direction again. We have no paid employees, and our only expenses are our charity events. This allows us to provide more funding directly to the local charities that need the money the most.
While we benefit too many charities to list them all, some of the charities we have benefitted in the past are: Bridges Safehouse which provides assistance to battered women; The Grand Prairie Pregnancy Resource Center which provides assistance and training to young unwed mothers; Lake Ridge Elementary for their special needs programs, music, literary and arts programs; The Cedar Hill Police Department for equipment to help launch their social media department; the Red Cross of North Texas to aid with disaster relief; The Cedar Hill Fire Department for equipment to further equip the emergency response bus utilized in disaster relief efforts and heat sensor equipment utilized in locating people inside burning structures; CHAT which provides school supplies and summer programs for economically disadvantaged students in Cedar Hill schools; PAWS for Reflection Ranch which provides therapy for Veterans suffering from PTSD and special needs children; Cedar Hill Shares which provides food to thousands yearly.
Our hope is that you will join us in creating a greater sense of community and raising funds for local worthy charities.
